Sat, Feb 28, 2026 - Coyote Clan and Hawk Clan family gathered in Galveston to commemorate the Night of 300 Howls in 1821. May 5th is recognized as the National Day of Awareness for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR) movement that acts as both a commemoration of lost lives and a call to action against violence. In addition to that date, this is our MMIWR observance as we remember our Karankawa Ancestors🪶🪶🪶

✅The issue we are speaking on is Desalination and future water contracts that will damage our bay. They are not taking care of the water and relying on water sources that are unpredictable and dangerous. They should be protecting the water that we have now and put restrictions on heavy water users to balance out what's happening (oil and gas corporations are guzzling and exploiting our supply).
