Full Throttle lived up to its name last weekend. ☀️🛶

With September apparently forgetting that fall is supposed to be a thing in Texas, Troop 1965 spent a good chunk of the weekend at Camp Strake finding ways to stay cool in and on the water.

Canoes. Paddleboards. Kayaks. And, judging by photographic evidence, approximately all of the lovebugs in San Jacinto County.

Just another weekend of adventure with Troop 1965. 😎

Girls ages 11–17 are always welcome to come see what Scouting is all about. We meet Sundays at 4:30 PM at St. Thomas in Nassau Bay.

WE HAVE ANOTHER EAGLE SCOUT!

Tonight, Priscilla K. officially earned the rank of Eagle Scout!

Priscilla has worked incredibly hard to reach Scouting’s highest rank, demonstrating leadership, perseverance, service, and a commitment to living the Scout Oath and Law along the way. We could not be prouder to celebrate this tremendous accomplishment with her.

And tonight marks another milestone for our troop as well:

Priscilla is the 7th Eagle Scout in the history of Troop 1965! 🦅🎉

Seven young women who set a goal few Scouts ever achieve, did the work, showed the leadership, and served their communities to make it happen.

Troop 1965 earning the Skating Merit Badge this last weekend. Woot!

Who says four-wheeling is only for off-road trails?

Last weekend, the Scouts of Troop 1965 (plus some brave parents, siblings, and a returning Eagle!) beat the summer heat inside the rink to work on their Skating Merit Badge.

They brought back retro vibes, mastered their balance, and learned the safety and skills needed on the floor. The AC was blasting, the music was pumping, and everyone had a great time. Skating backwards? Check. Limbo? Also check. Screaming because you're out of control? No comment. :)

Great job, Scouts! And props to the parents who managed to stay vertical.

This Sunday is Scout Sunday at Saint Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church!

Scouts and Scouters (leaders) will be present and in uniform, participating in the service. We look forward to recognizing them, as well as past Scouts and Scouters - please join us!
