The Village Connect Connecting organizations and individuals to create the Village needed to light a path towards stability and independence.

The Village Connect is a non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating chronic poverty by helping families and individuals break the cycle of homelessness in Houston, TX. We are a growing network of consultants, ministers, public health administrators, and other professionals working to provide personalized and comprehensive care for Houston's homeless.

We have been working hard to understand how to help our fellow Houstonians facing homelessness. For the last 3 months we have had young interns across 4 universities come together to identify the challenges a homeless individual faces while seeking mental health services. At the Health and Housing Summit this year hosted by , our students proudly presented their work on this topic. With your support we hope to continue to provide these opportunities to our young leaders as they continue to research and innovate new solutions for our homeless population. This is the face of our new mental health initiative called “Mental Health First and For All”! We are extremely excited to host these students who represent 4 different universities! Their internship will culminate into a research poster where they will propose new solutions to addressing gaps in mental health services for the homeless community. Everyone give them a warm welcome and cheer them on!! ☺️🙌🎉
