A Klein resident told ABC13 that 72 hours without power could be catastrophic to those who rely on refrigerated medication like her or someone who needs medical equipment that plugs in.

To all my Facebook Family and Friends I would like to send a message to you all. There is a problem in our community. After 3 long years of being an Advocate for Jordan Angel and his family. Who was murdered at the tender age of 15 and his killer was 17 yr old Zaylyn Cooks. Zaylyn shot Jordan point blank in the head. Jordan didn’t have any weapons. Zaylyn was released over and over again. He was able to move to a different county and commit more crimes. There’s two things I hate in this world guns and drugs. Two black mothers decided together that we were tired of the way the system was. A crying mother Kimberly Angel and an Advocate Robin Bennett. We decided we wouldn’t wait for the system to help us we went to help ourselves. We did not Pickett outside any courts or name call anyone. We used the system the way it was designed and it paid off. As of today he was sentenced to 12 years for the murder of Jordan. We did it the right way and the Godly way. We conducted ourselves in an orderly manner. He will have time to think about all the lives he has destroyed in Harris County, Dallas County and Montgomery county. When you want justice sometimes you have to step out on faith and ask God to order your footsteps so you too can work with the DA’s office to get those murderers off the street. Kimberly Angel and Robin Bennett didn’t just wait on the justice system to call them they did their research and called the justice system. Jordan you can rest in peace now. Your mother and Mrs Robin fought a good fight for you and we won. Your sisters, your brother and your friends were there today. Take your crown and rest in peace. It took us 3 years but we finally got victory.

Today when we were doing Jordan’s trial I was so troubled by what I saw. The majority of the people there for criminal trials were brown and black. What is happening to our community? We have got to find a way to save our youth. My heart was broken as I seen so many young lives hanging in the balance. We must step up and do something there is a serious problem.
