This week, our incredible Houston Chapter Fathers came together for an evening of fun, fellowship, and meaningful connection at our annual Gentlemen’s Smoker. More than just a gathering, it was a celebration of brotherhood, leadership, and legacy in action.

Throughout Fathers’ Appreciation Month, we proudly honor the dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment these men pour into their families, our Historic Houston Chapter, and the Greater Houston community. Your presence matters. Your impact is lasting. And your leadership does not go unnoticed.

Here’s to the fathers who show up, stand tall, and lead with purpose—today and every day. To all of you we say “thank you”.

We want to extend a special shout-out to Fathers’ Auxiliary Chair Sammy Miller and Father Michael Murphy, who partnered with Chair Kim Murphy to ensure that the gentlemen had an amazing experience while also helping us exceed our goals!

Congratulations to Erica Lee Carter on being appointed County Administrator, becoming the first African American woman to hold this position. A true public servant with experience across federal, state, local government, and nonprofit work, she steps into this role with a commitment to transparency, community, and building a stronger future for every resident.

We are extremely proud of their outstanding accomplishments and look forward to seeing them continue to soar in Black brilliance.

Moms’ Night In was the pause we all needed right before holiday season — a moment to breathe, reconnect, and pour into one another.

Through sisterhood and soothing sound therapy, we honored the social bonds that keep our chapter strong, grounded, and supported.
