With over 2.2 million people in Houston without power after Hurricane Beryl swept through the area July 8, local counties and cities have begun opening shelters and cooling centers.

Drawing on his new book, The Black Practice of Disbelief, Dr. Pinn will explore what we might learn about the beliefs and practices of humanism in African American communities.
