A HUGE , huge "Thank You" to all of the Cy Woods FFA Booster Club Board for allowing us the time to talk with their members this evening about the Cypress Sale Barn Association and our goals. And a special "Thanks" to the members for all of their GREAT questions and interest in our program.

As we said at the meeting, our number one focus with the Cypress Sale Barn Association is to GET BUYERS TO ATTEND THE SHOW & SALE. Period. Our approach to that will be:
(1) Reaching out to the current pool of active buyers to keep them energized about FFA and what their participation means to each and every student - the value that they add to the show.
(2) Identify and reach out to former members of the buyers pool that appear to have stopped attending - for whatever the reason. We are going to do our best to re-excite them about what they can bring to our students' lives by attending. Again, working to get them back to the Show.
(3) Identify and contact potential new buyers in an effort to inform and educate them about FFA and our Show (now working on its 25th year!) and to get them to attend. Our FFA students are some of the "cream of the crop" and we want everyone to have the chance to see that.

Obviously, not everyone will be able to attend the Show. They may not even have any interest in the Show, but our hope is that they see the value of FFA for our students and want to make a donation. There are also those individuals that will want to make a donation anonymously. This is where our 4th approach will come into play...
(4) We will also be able to accept tax free donations (everyone's tax situation is different, so please look into tax advice beforehand) and get them passed through to the students. We are a registered tax-exempt nonprofit 501 ( c ) (3) organization.

Thank you again, Cy Woods! If you've got any questions or have any name that you want to pass along, please let us know.

We are anxious to talk with our first FFA Booster Club next week about what we want to do to support the CFISD students in FFA. Thank you, Cy Woods FFA Booster Club, for this chance!

Our new Cypress Sale Barn Association website will be up and working next week. You can find our temporary site at cypresssalebarn.org now though! Please think about bookmarking our site for future updates there as well! If you are a FFA advisor/Ag teacher, student, parent or Booster Club, please don't hesitate to reach out to us if we can help in any way.

See you at the Sale Barn!

I have a confession to make. I wasn’t actually very good at FFA. I wasn’t necessarily bad at FFA, but I wasn’t particularly good, either. A while back, as I was helping a student prepare for a speaking competition, she remarked about how easy it must have been for me, back in my day (which, I
