FEMA Reappoints Fire Chief to National Advisory Council

Houston Fire Chief Thomas Muñoz has been reappointed by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Deanne Criswell to the FEMA National Advisory Council. Chief Muñoz was first appointed to the council in late 2023 while serving as the City’s Emergency Management Coordinator.

✨Tis the Season for Merriment✨

🌟To what did my wandering eyes did appear?
🌟Santa and Harris County Sheriff's Office representatives...

🌟Today Sheriff Ed Gonzalez and HCSO deputies and staff joined with Santa and Mrs. Claus for the 30th annual Children's Assessment Center, (CAC) Holiday Toy Drive for those children in the most need for some holiday magic.

A semi-truck load full of toys donated by the HCSO deputies and the HCSO Foundation arrived for delivery at the CAC. This annual event provides a safe environment for some holiday magic, where dreams really do come true and the wonderment of special gifts make for a better holiday for high risk children and those less fortunate.

The funding for this annual tradition is partially underwritten by the HCSO Foundation in support of the HCSO deputies and community outreach.

Thank you to all who have donated to make this annual tradition success!!

On this day of Giving Tuesday 2024, the HCSO Foundation would like to express its sincere appreciation and THANKS to all our Founding Members, donors and supporters who have chosen to offer a "helping hand in support of the deputies of the Harris County Sheriff's Office - so that they are better able to perform their law enforcement mandates in the safest and most efficient manner.
