Strong identity. Strong mind. Strong future.
Pillar 1 of our mentoring curriculum begins with Identity & Emotional Wellness because before we build leaders, we build self-worth.

We are helping our youth own who they are confidently, boldly, and unapologetically.
This is the foundation. This is the work.

At The Chauncy Glover Project, our mentoring model is rooted in purpose, culture, and impact.
We don’t just teach, we empower historically marginalized youth to own their identity, use their voice, and design their futures with confidence.

Our 5 Pillars of Impact guide every step of the journey:

1️⃣ Identity & Emotional Wellness – Building self-awareness, resilience, and healing.
2️⃣ Academic & Innovation Pathways – Preparing youth for success in school and future-forward careers.
3️⃣ Civic Voice & Leadership – Developing change agents through advocacy and education.
4️⃣ Cultural Responsiveness & Brotherhood – Creating affirming spaces that honor heritage and challenge stereotypes.
5️⃣ Career & Life Design – Helping youth shape futures that align with their passions and strengths.

This is how we mentor. This is how we transform lives.

The CGP Story

The Chauncy Glover Project (CGP) is an extensive, hands-on mentoring program and Federally approved non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that was created to groom inner-city teenage boys into upstanding and accomplished gentleman. CGP focuses on education, manhood, self-empowerment, financial responsibility, etiquette, police interaction, college readiness, community service and so much more.

In June 2013, I witnessed a young man die on the streets of Detroit while covering a story of a high school student who was shot and killed for allegedly trying to rob the school’s coach. It was then that I felt compelled to use my own resources to go back into that young man’s school, Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High, to create CGP.

Now based in Houston as an Anchor/Reporter for KTRK-ABC13, my team and I have worked diligently to bring this amazing project, mentoring underserved young men, to the Houston area during the 2016-17 school year. Each year, these young men are hard at work improving their grades, test scores, and behavior while learning the ideals of manhood and the principles of success.

We are changing lives in Houston, one young man at a time. To date, CGP has helped send more than 100 young men to college. This program has become my life’s work and I am honored to have your support!
