Hello to everyone!!! Wanted to let all of the club members know that the 2017 high point awards will be presented at the Marhall show in February in Marshall, TX. We will be making the presentation at the McDowall luncheon on Friday the 16th at Noon. Please make plans to be there. Thank you to the McDowalls for always providing such a wonderful lunch and get together for our show family. This will be the final LSGPHA awards presentation due to the closure of the club 12/31/17. We have some amazing awards to present. Hope to see you there!

Attention All Members,

It is with mixed emotions that I write this letter to you all today. The remaining board of directors and officers have voted to dissolve the Original Lone Star Gaited Pleasure Association, Inc. This will be effective on December 31st 2017. I am a founding member, and have been holding different officer positions during the entire time the club has been in existence. We started the club back in early 2000 and have had an amazing 17 year run. I just want to thank all of the people that have helped make the club successful over all of the years. We have had some pretty amazing events, youth programs, horse shows, playdays, trail rides etc...so THANK YOU!

We will finish out the 2017 show season, and finalize our High Point Award Program for all current members. We will be announcing the winners later this fall after we tally the points from the SWHBEA Fall Finale in Athens, TX. After that, we will be shipping the awards out to all of the winners.

Once this is complete, we will be sending all of the remaining funds in the club account to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and closing out the account, the website, and pages.

We will no longer be taking any membership dues, and there will not be a Texas National Showdown held in March of 2018.

Folks, state mandated testing is causing the published show schedule to be really challenged this year!

*The Friday Afternoon Break will NOT START BACK BEFORE 5PM!
*All buy-a-classes for Friday have been TAKEN

we will have all changes posted in the show office

Marcie will be on the show grounds by 1pm on Thursday to get folks settled in their stalls and shavings ordered.

We've just learned that there are Manditory State Tests for kiddos on Friday of this week. WE will do everything we need to do to move youth classes scheduled for Friday to either Friday night or Saturday to accomodate our youth.
