Foster Lettie 9, aka Lettie Novena, aka Lettie Spaghetti has exactly 2 modes: full speed ahead 🏎️ and super chill 🛋️ . There is no in between, no medium, no halfway. Her full speed ahead mode is respectful of the senior residents. The seniors allow her high energy mostly, but she corrects quickly when they tell her “You kids get off my lawn!” She has alpha aspirations in the absence of consistently enforced rules and routines. She will thrive with strong calm pack leader energy in her home and activities that drain her mental and physical energy. Her super chill mode is aw-door-able, emphasis on the awwww. This girl is smart, eager to please, and never met a meal she didn’t inhale. She’ll be ready for furever at the end of June after HW treatment. In the meantime, she’ll be full speed ahead or chillaxin in the couch.

This darling little gal is a sweetheart. Emmy is always ready with a kiss or a few for her people. She loves to play and explore the yard. Emmy also enjoys running zoomies with the other dogs.

Emmy enjoys nylabones and elk antlers. Emmy is a bit quiet but loves her people and other dogs. She loves evening snuggles on the sofa.

Emmy will be ready to adopt after her spay around mid-to-late June.

Yesterday, sweet Iris went in for her dental and lost 11 teeth! But by the time I picked up this doll, you would’ve never known. She was happy as ever to see me! I also don’t know how I didn’t notice her underbite before yesterday🤭…but this little doll has just captured my heart. Iris will go in for heartworm treatment later this month. Once completed, she will be ready for her forever family. Iris gets along great with other dogs, has a wonderful personality, and has done fantastically since coming into our home on Saturday!🐾💖

Ivy is an eight-year-old beauty who strikes a lovely balance between calm and playful. She enjoys relaxing by your side most of the time, but she also has her moments of fun where her playful personality shines through.

She can be a little apprehensive at first and may need some time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, her gentle and loving nature really comes out. Ivy is the kind of dog who will make a loyal, comforting companion while still bringing a bit of lighthearted joy to your days.

She is heartworm positive and will need to go through treatment before she’s ready for her next chapter, but she is absolutely worth the time and care. With the right person, Ivy is going to blossom into an incredible best friend.

If you’re looking for a sweet, soulful companion with both a calm presence and a touch of playfulness, Ivy is definitely a dog you’ll want to meet.

I’m very pleased to announce that after a few frustrating weeks, we finally realized that PH Charles can’t have anything with chicken ingredients in it.

He was having a bad skin reaction to something and we used an elimination approach to figure it out. Now, his coat is finally coming in like it should.

What’s not new is that he remains a very, very good boy who loves to cuddle. He’s great at neighborhood walks and his potty manners are top-notch.

Charles would love to find a family of his own where he can be present for all the day’s happenings.

Charming came to PugHearts from the Rio Grande Valley with three other pugs when their owner surrendered them to animal control to be euthanized. PugHearts was able to take them in and now he gets a chance to find his happy ever after. ☺️

Charming is a very sweet, very velcro boy. This little guy loves his people and is eager to please. 💖

Charming will be at Gimmie a Bark - Cinco de Mayo Adoption Event and Pug Races on Sunday. He is healthy and ready to adopt.

Hi friends!! 💕

Guess what… 🐾 I’ve been practicing my best “pick me!” face, my sweetest snuggles, and my signature tiny-but-mighty strut.

But if I’m being honest… I’m hoping Sunday is extra special for one reason 👀

I’m really, really hoping I might meet my forever family. 🥹

I mean… I know I’m not quite ready to go home just yet (mid-July, mark your calendars 😉), but a girl can dream, right? Maybe my people will come find me, fall in love, and start counting down the days until I’m all theirs.

Until then, I’ll be the little nugget soaking up all the love, giving out kisses, and reminding everyone that the best things come in small, sassy, snuggly packages 💖

Very hungry. That’s how the vets described Zita when she first came into Pug Hearts — very skinny and very hungry. Whatever this sweet girl went through before rescue, she still came out the other side joyful, loving, and full of life.

Zita is eight years old, healthy thankfully, and soaking up all the love and care she can get while she decompresses and settles into her new routine. She should be ready for adoption very soon, and whoever welcomes her home is going to get one very special little girl.
