This year's cohort is made up of exceptional Texas A&M University students representing majors in Mays Business School, TAMU Communication & Journalism Department, Texas A&M School of Public Health, Texas A&M Engineering and more. They have a genuine passion for serving others and a commitment to strengthening our community alongside the REACH team.

REACH's fellowship is intentionally designed to help each student grow in the areas they are most passionate about, whether that's family or student engagement, our Entrepreneurship Program, operations, or recruitment. By matching their strengths with meaningful opportunities, our fellows will gain valuable professional experience while making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

At REACH, we believe that empowering individuals and families begins with investing in people who are passionate about creating positive change. We are excited to watch this incredible group of fellows grow as leaders, develop personally and professionally, and help advance our work of empowering individuals and families to achieve their aspirations while strengthening the communities we call home. ❤️

Let’s welcome Ben , our Tier 3 Chief Operations Officer!🙌

As Chief Operations Officer, Ben will mentor and support our fellows as they thrive within their respective tracks, helping build a stronger and more connected cohort. Through his leadership, he will help multiply the impact of each fellow by ensuring they have the guidance and skills needed to strengthen relationships and serve the community. As a master’s student at Mays Business School , Ben brings a strategic perspective on sustainable organizational impact and the future possibilities for REACH.

Ben has served with REACH since his freshman year, and was a first time fellow his sophomore year. However, this year marks his first time serving as the Chief Operations Officer and leading the cohort in this role. We are excited to see the leadership he brings to the cohort. His drive and compassion for supporting families, campus life, and students embody what it means to serve and strengthen our community. We can’t wait to see Ben continue building relationships, creating meaningful impact, and being the change they want to see.💚

Every meal can create an opportunity for connection. 🍽️

That’s the heart of REACH’s Breakroom Lunch Initiative; bringing Texas A&M University students and Essential Aggies together over a shared meal to get to know one another, build relationships, and simply spend time in community.

These lunches are about more than what’s on the table. Through regular conversations and time together, Fellows listen, learn, build trust, and better understand the goals and needs of the working families who help keep our campus running. And as relationships grow, REACH can help connect families with resources and opportunities that support the goals that matter to them.

This year, our Fellows will continue building on these relationships under the leadership of Tyler Prince , creating more opportunities for connection - one lunch, one conversation, and one relationship at a time.

We can’t wait to share more of the people, stories, and moments that make these lunches so special throughout the year. 💚

Fellowship spotlight with Olivia Diaz!!

We caught up with Olivia recently on her summer adventures, let’s see what she has been up to!

“I was able to speak in the Memorial Student Center ballrooms and Rudder Forum as a Transfer Ambassador under the Office of Student Success at Texas A&M. I loved the opportunity to grow my presentation and speaking skills, and share opportunities with incoming students to help them have a successful first semester!

My family and I went on a road trip to see national parks and monument. We saw Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, and the Grand Tetons. I really appreciated the opportunity to spend some time in nature and revitalize before the fall semester.”

We are so excited to have Olivia as part of the REACH fellowship, and we cannot wait to see the impact she has on our community. Her dedication to leadership, service, and supporting others reflects REACH’s commitment to empowering individuals to grow, pursue their aspirations, and make a meaningful impact in their communities. ❤️

A big round of applause for Angela Leggett on purchasing her new home! 🏡👏

For more than 30 years, Ms. Leggett’s husband, Charles, faithfully served at the Texas A&M Vet School. We are deeply grateful for his years of dedication and the lasting impact he made.

Since then, she has remained actively involved with REACH, participated in Mays Business School Marketing Research Project, opened her own storefront in College Station called “The Great Escape”, and successfully completed our homeownership program.

Today, we celebrate another incredible milestone—homeownership! We are so proud of Ms. Leggett’s perseverance, resilience, and commitment to building a brighter future. Her journey is an inspiration, and we are honored to support her continued success and the positive impact she has on our community.

We are proud to introduce the 2026–2027 REACH Fellowship Cohort! 🎉

This fellowship was thoughtfully developed by our Special Projects Director, Jasmine Carey, alongside members of the REACH team to provide Texas A&M students with meaningful, hands-on experience serving the community. Through this program, our fellows will gain critical professional and soft skills, build relationships with Essential Aggies, support major programs and events, and make a lasting impact through service.

✨Fellow Highlight with Jason Joseph! ✨

We're excited to celebrate REACH Fellow Jason Joseph and his recent opportunity to participate in a workshop hosted by the NIH (National Institutes of Health) All of Us Research Program at New York University.

As a doctoral student in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Texas A&M University, Jason collaborated with researchers from across the country while presenting a project focused on sleep and dementia using data from the All of Us Research Program. Reflecting on the experience, Jason shared that it was an honor to present his team's work and connect with fellow scholars who are passionate about improving health through research.

At REACH, we know that strong communities are built by leaders who are committed to learning, collaboration, and service. Experiences like this deepen our Fellows' understanding of the complex factors that influence community health while strengthening the leadership, critical thinking, and relationship-building skills they bring back to the families and communities they serve.

We're proud to have Jason as part of the REACH Fellowship and are excited to see how he continues applying his knowledge and passion to his work supporting REACH's family engagement efforts. Congratulations, Jason!👏💚

We're incredibly proud of our Student Outreach and Partnership Director, Caitlin Zimmerman, for successfully completing her internship at the Houston Zoo! 🦒🎉

As a Philanthropy Intern, Caitlin gained hands-on experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, donor stewardship, and relationship-building while applying what she's learning through the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University in a real-world nonprofit setting. From annual giving to donor stewardship, she strengthened the skills needed to build meaningful, lasting community partnerships.

At REACH, strong relationships are the heart of our mission. Caitlin's experience will strengthen our work cultivating community partnerships, engaging students, expanding philanthropic initiatives, and creating opportunities that empower individuals and strengthen our community.
We're especially excited to see her bring these new insights to her role at REACH, including support for our partnership and philanthropy efforts!
