Did you know? MCHD serves Montgomery County with 28 strategically located stations. These stations are placed based on data-driven deployment models to optimize EMS coverage. Each station features living quarters, offices, kitchens, and bedrooms, with supplies delivered as needed. Remember, emergencies go to 911 - not our stations!

⛑️SPRING FIELD TRAINING⛑️

Field training for our MOCSAR team yesterday was a huge success! The team spent the day taking part in a training exercise designed to practice the skills needed to find missing hikers.

The mission was to find 4 missing children in the WG Jones State Forest. We split into two teams who were both able to successfully recover all 4 kids. This training focused on:

👏 Teamwork
👏 Navigation and maps
👏 Radios and communication
👏 Physical endurance for walking miles in woods
👏 Testing our gear and packs
👏 Preserving integrity of potential crime scenes

We practiced, learned, and grew together as a stronger team. Training is important not only for new members, but also to help reinforce and share the skills of our experienced SAR members as well.

Thank you to all of our team who participated and the kid victim volunteers! A special thank you to our board leadership (Melissa, Phillip, Stacey and Alicia) for organizing and leading this training!

Our team was proud to volunteer as victims at the Joint Active Shooter Exercise (JASE) training event last night at a library in east Montgomery County. We volunteer because we know how impactful and important training is for our community’s emergency services.

A big thank you to Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and Montgomery County Sheriff's Office for organizing the event. We also appreciate the Porter Fire Department, Montgomery County Hospital District EMS, New Caney Isd Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety State Troopers, and Commissioner Matt Gray, Montgomery County Precinct 4 officers and teams who participated in this training exercise!

As a 100% volunteer and donor-funded nonprofit, our ability to serve and support our community depends entirely on the generosity of others. This campaign has been created to help us secure the training and equipment necessary to continue our work safely and effectively.

We strive to be mindful in our requests, but the reality is that we cannot do this alone. Your support, whether through a donation or by sharing this campaign, makes a meaningful difference.

Thank you for standing with us and supporting our mission.
