ASA Houston’s Redefining Leadership Programs, offered in partnership with The Atkins Impact, are designed to help construction professionals build the skills that don’t always come with a promotion or a new title.

Momentum | Emerging & Early Leaders helps professionals who are stepping into leadership strengthen their communication, build trust, navigate leading others, and become more confident in their new role.

Ascend | Mid-Level Leaders takes things a step further for experienced leaders, with a focus on strategic decision-making, delegation, accountability, difficult conversations, negotiation, and building greater influence within their organizations.

Both programs combine cohort learning, coaching, assessments, and real-world application so participants can take what they’re learning and put it to work with their own teams. 🤝

ASA Houston recently headed to Bonita Springs, Florida, for a few days with the ASA community at SUBExcel 2026! ☀️🌴

With this year’s “Subs in the Sun” theme, the three days were packed with educational sessions, industry panels, the trade show, networking, and plenty of opportunities to catch up with friends from across the ASA community. ASA Houston was proud to be a sponsor and partner of this year’s convention, which was also an extra special one as ASA celebrated its 60th anniversary! 🎉

Working in construction can take a toll, both physically and mentally, which made for an important conversation at our latest ASA Houston General Lunch Meeting. 🏗️

Dr. D.P. Gonzalez of Occucare International Medical Clinic joined us for Built to Last: Wellness in Construction, sharing insight into the connection between mental health, physical well-being, and workplace safety. He talked about some of the pressures construction professionals face, why it’s important to make conversations around mental health more comfortable, and what companies can do to better support their people both on and off the job. 💙

We also recognized our Commitment to Safety (CTS) Program Members for their continued dedication to keeping safety front and center.

A little competition, a lot of time on the water, and a good cause behind it all made for a fun day in San Leon! 🎣

ASA Houston’s 17th Annual Fishing Tournament brought crews together at Top Water Grill for a day of fishing and catching up with friends from across Houston’s construction community.

Beyond the competition, the tournament was also an opportunity to give back. This year, ASA Houston partnered with AGC Houston’s Veterans in Construction, which helps connect and support military veterans working in commercial construction. A portion of the tournament proceeds will also benefit PTSD Foundation of America - Camp Hope Houston, helping provide housing, peer support, counseling, and other resources for veterans and their families dealing with the effects of combat-related PTSD. 🇺🇸

And, of course, we have to recognize the teams who brought home the bragging rights. Congratulations to this year’s tournament winners! 🏆

Sun, sandcastles, and plenty of familiar faces made for a great day in Galveston last week! ☀️

ASA Houston’s 19th Annual Fiesta on the Beach brought our members, GC Partners, families, and friends out to East Beach during the AIA Galveston Sandcastle Festival.
