About Our Team...
Shamrock Smokrz, a 501(c)(3), was formed in 2009 by Tom Fitzgerald with his two sons Travis and Clay. With its humble beginnings, Shamrock Smokrz now has a crew of six lead by Chief Cooks Tom and his best friend JR Pryor. This small down home country team travels the State of Texas competing in different BBQ competitions holding their own against much larger and older established

teams, but is rising quickly among other teams that compete in the same circuits. The crown jewel competition is the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo World Championship BBQ Competition held the weekend before the start of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
