On September 20th, at the Women of Excellence Gala, FHPW proudly premiered a documentary honoring the heart and history of our organization: A Legacy of Leadership.

Since 1981, FHPW has stood as a force for connection, growth, and impact. Over 44 years, extraordinary women have stepped forward to lead this organization—each leaving her mark and strengthening the foundation for those who followed.

This film is a tribute to the women, traditions, and collective leadership that shaped FHPW, and to our enduring commitment to mentorship and service.

It also reflects our shared mission to inspire and uplift the next generation of women leaders—equipping them to lead with gratitude, compassion, courage, and purpose in a rapidly changing world.

Looking back at an unforgettable evening celebrating leadership, legacy, and the power of extraordinary women at the Women of Excellence Gala 2025 hosted by the Federation of Houston Professional Women.

This year’s Gala honored 12 remarkable Women of Excellence and our Legacy Women of Excellence, recognizing lives and careers defined by impact, resilience, and service. Their stories reminded us that excellence is not a moment—it’s a journey.

As we celebrated 44 years of FHPW, guests were moved by our tribute video, “A Legacy of Leadership: 44 Years of FHPW,” honoring the women who built this organization and those carrying its mission forward. We also proudly recognized entrepreneurs and businesses through the Sheri L. Parrack Diversity of Excellence Awards, celebrating those making a meaningful difference in our community.

The evening also highlighted the heart of our mission—the FHPW Educational Foundation—as we celebrated 10 scholarship recipients, investing in the next generation of women leaders.

We kicked off the year by focusing inward with an inspiring session led by Aalia Al Barwani, encouraging self-awareness, clarity, and personal alignment as the foundation of leadership.

We closed the year with purpose and authenticity during Leading as You, featuring Christina Hutchinson, who reminded us that the most powerful leadership comes from showing up fully and unapologetically as yourself.
