As we step into May, we wanted to take a moment to look back on a busy April for the Southeast Harris County Community Coalition.

We partnered with the La Porte Branch Library for a Bilingual Family Literacy Night, gave three parent presentations at different Pasadena ISD schools, attended the last SHAC meeting of the year, and participated in the DEA Take Back Day.

It was definitely a full month, but we’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many families. Looking ahead, we’re excited to keep working together and reaching even more members of our community.

A lot of learning took place at today’s Southeast Harris County Community Coalition meeting!

Dr. Lee from the Houston Forensic Science Center shared important insights on current drug trends and traffic fatalities, and Caren Fisher highlighted the incredible work she’s doing in the community through the MHAT grant.
