Casting Cares We seek to ease a veteran’s return from war by giving him and his family valuable tools to help them in their war on PTSD.

At Casting Cares our vision began right after 9/11 in the form of care packages. Throughout the years we realized the wives and families of our veterans are left to change tires in a rain storm and manage a house all alone. We seek to help all aspects of our veteran community by g

iving them valuable resources and classes for PTSD. Because 22 veterans commit su***de on our daily basis we decided to shift our primary focus to veterans with PTSD and their wives. We noticed that if the wives understand what is going on in their spouse they can help them work through some of the things they will face. We desire to create a recreation center for our veterans to find peace, serenity, and purpose once again in their chaotic lives. This rec center will allow us to offer PTSD awareness classes, combat trauma groups, horse riding, stables and other things that will greatly improve a veterans life. By creating a loving atmosphere for our veterans it allows us to serve them and others as needed. With God as our guide we will knit our families and country together and protect those who don’t or can’t stand up for themselves.

Here’s the 2024 Pay Raise for Vets and Military Retirees.

Military retirees and disabled veterans will see their monthly checks increase by 3.2% for 2024, thanks to an annual adjustment to the federal Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) due to inflation.

While 3.2% may look low compared to the 2022 (5.9%) and 2023 (8.7%) adjustments, it's still above the average of 2.6% for the prior 20 years.
