Our first Gubae will be on July 30th & 31st, “ዝክረ ቅዱስ ያሬድ ኢትዮጵዊ ” In Commemoration of St. Yared, the Ethiopian. Why this subject? One of the countless things that makes the EOTC unique is the heavenly hymn that the church has been given through St. Yared in the 5th century. The church has preserved this unique treasure for centuries, but unfortunately many of us in this generation are unaware of the contributions of St. Yared not just to Ethiopia but to the World! Check out these quick facts about St. Yared

1. Yared received this heavenly hymn directly from the angels.
2. Yared was the first person in history to write hymns in (Notes).
3. The EOTC only uses the hymns of St. Yared for all of its services
