INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2026

Today we celebrate the strength, wisdom, and quiet resilience of women everywhere. In homes, communities, classrooms, and workplaces, women continue to shape families, guide nations, and nurture the future with courage and determination.

At the Orseer Ikyaator Foundation (OIF), we recognize that empowering women is not only an act of fairness. It is an investment in stronger communities and a better world. When women are supported with opportunity, education, and respect, entire societies rise with them.

Women lead.
Women inspire.
Women build the future.

As we mark this year’s International Women’s Day, we honor every woman who continues to stand, strive, and make a difference.

“Invest in women. Humanity gains the reward.”

Happy International Women’s Day.

HAPPY NEW MONTH FROM THE ORSEER IKYAATOR FOUNDATION (OIF).

February reminds us that progress is built quietly, one intentional step at a time. Just like a seed beneath the soil, real growth often happens before it is seen. What matters is the care, patience, and belief invested along the way.

At OIF, we continue to show up for young people, communities, and dreams that deserve a chance to grow. Every book shared, every court opened, every life touched is a reminder that small actions, done consistently, create lasting impact.

As we step into this new month, may hope remain strong, purpose stay clear, and kindness guide our choices.

“Little by little, a little becomes a lot.” — Tanzanian Proverb

Welcome to February.
Let us keep building, together.

BEHIND EVERY PROGRAM IS A LIFE BEING TOUCHED.

Every child, every athlete, every young person we reach carries a dream that deserves support.

At the Orseer Ikyaator Foundation, our focus goes beyond activities. We invest in people, believing that one opportunity can change a lifetime.

This is why the work matters.

A SNEAK PEEK AT WHAT REALLY HAPPENED.

The matches were intense, but the impact went far beyond the courts.

The Dr. Joseph Ikyaator National Tennis Open was filled with powerful moments. Players sharing real testimonies. Officials praising the standard. Conversations that turned into partnerships. New sponsors stepping forward, inspired by what they witnessed in Benue State.

This tournament did more than crown winners.
It connected people.
It restored belief.
It opened new doors for tennis in Nigeria.

At the Orseer Ikyaator Foundation (OIF), this is why we do the work. To create platforms that move the sport forward and bring the right people together.

Watch the video.
Listen to the voices.
See the future taking shape.

GIVE HER HER FLOWERS. SHE EARNED THEM.

This is Mohammed Khadijat, Nigeria’s number one ranked female tennis player, and at the Dr. Joseph Ikyaator National Tennis Open, she showed exactly why she holds that position.

She came with expectations.
She came with pressure.
And she delivered.

Khadijat dominated the women’s singles, controlling matches with confidence and authority. Then she returned to the court and did it again, claiming victory in the doubles as well. Two categories. One tournament. Total excellence.

This was not luck. This was preparation meeting opportunity.

At the Orseer Ikyaator Foundation (OIF), we are proud to celebrate athletes who raise the standard and inspire the next generation simply by doing the work at the highest level.

Flowers well deserved.
Respect fully earned.

MEET MOHAMMAD MUSA. PURE CLASS, PURE FIGHT.

Ranked Nigeria’s number 7, Mohammad Musa arrived at the Dr. Joseph Ikyaator National Tennis Open with quiet confidence and left with respect earned the hard way.

In a thrilling semifinal, he stunned the competition by defeating the number one ranked player, Daniel Adeleye, showing composure, courage, and belief on a big stage. It was a performance that reminded everyone why tennis is never decided by rankings alone.

In the final, Musa pushed hard but fell to the number two ranked player, finishing the tournament as runner-up. Not the ending he wanted, but a campaign that spoke volumes about his quality and resilience.

At the Orseer Ikyaator Foundation (OIF), this is exactly the kind of story we aim to spotlight. Athletes rising, challenging the best, and proving that opportunity plus preparation can change narratives.

Mohammad Musa did more than compete.
He made a statement.

FROM GRASSROOTS TO GLORY: ORSEER IKYAATOR FOUNDATION"S TENNIS OPEN REDEFINES SPORTS HOSTING IN BENUE

The Dr. Joseph Ikyaator National Tennis Open has concluded in Makurdi, marking a historic moment for tennis in Nigeria and setting a new standard for sports hosting in Benue State. The tournament was organised by the Orseer Ikyaator Foundation and remains the highest-paying tennis competition in the country.

The event brought together 80 nationally ranked players and 47 junior athletes across ten categories, combining elite competition with youth development. It also marked the first time a national ranking tennis tournament was held in Benue State.

Canice Abua claimed the men’s singles title, while Mohammed Khadijat dominated the women’s singles event. Both players featured prominently across singles and doubles finals, reflecting the high standard of competition throughout the week.

The junior events produced multiple champions across age grades, reinforcing the foundation’s long-standing focus on early talent discovery and structured development.

Tournament officials from across Nigeria ensured professional organisation and fair play, with the event receiving praise for its structure and competitive quality.

According to the Orseer Ikyaator Foundation, the tournament’s success demonstrates how strategic investment in sports can drive youth empowerment, community engagement, and national recognition.

Named in honour of Dr. Joseph Ikyaator, the competition stands as a lasting symbol of discipline, leadership, and opportunity for young Nigerians.

BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP.

No shortcuts. No favors. Just hard work on full display.
These games reflect years of training meeting opportunity at the right moment.

At the Orseer Ikyaator Foundation, this is the vision. Create platforms that allow effort to speak for itself.

This is tennis with purpose.

MORE THAN A MATCH.

These clips are not just highlights. They are moments of belief, resilience, and quiet determination.

At OIF, we believe sport builds people before it builds champions. And on these courts, that belief is coming to life every day.

Watch the future take shape.
