Maternal Health Awareness Day is a reminder that this is not just a statistic — it is a crisis. Mothers deserve to be heard, protected, and supported every time. Access to quality care, advocacy, and culturally competent support should never depend on zip code, because maternal health is a human right.
Across the country, and especially in rural and underserved communities, our Black mothers continue to face systemic barriers to care that cost lives. Through intentional service, policy advocacy, and strategic partnerships, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is confronting these inequities head-on. Justice and advocacy has always been our charge, for decades, Zeta’s Stork’s Nest® initiative, in partnership with the March of Dimes, has worked to improve birth outcomes by providing education, resources, and support to expectant mothers and families most in need.
The Power of S.H.E. Community Blueprint is not a moment, it is a continuous movement.
🗣️ Sorors, we are called to move beyond awareness and into action. This has always been our charge! Service is how Zeta answers the call, reaffirming our commitment to protecting our mothers, strengthening families, and addressing the maternal health crisis that continues to devastate communities nationwide.
Advocate boldly. Serve intentionally. Support policies that save lives and uplift families. Because when we protect mothers, we protect the future. 💙🤍
