The Zeta Amicae of Houston gathered for its 2nd Annual Executive Board Leadership Retreat on August 22, 2026, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Houston.

Guided by the theme, “Rooted in Sisterhood, Leading with Vision,” the retreat gave Executive Board members time to reflect on the values, relationships, and commitments that support effective leadership within the Auxiliary.

The session, “Rooted in Sisterhood: The Foundation of Effective Leadership,” focused on the principles that sustain a strong and unified organization. Participants explored what it means to be a Zeta Amica, how sisterhood appears in daily interactions, and how each member contributes to the Auxiliary’s purpose. The discussion emphasized trust, open communication, accountability, and creating an environment where members feel valued, heard, and respected.

Zeta Crystal Doves Honored at Grand Boulé 2026

The Southern Region celebrated its Zeta Crystal Doves at Grand Boulé 2026 in Nashville. These sorors reached 50 years of membership. The honorees represented seventeen chapters across three areas. Six chapters carry the East Texas designation: Alpha Pi Zeta, Gamma Kappa Zeta, Lambda Zeta, Omicron Gamma Zeta, Upsilon Zeta, and Zeta Kappa Zeta.

Today’s ceremony carried special weight for East Texas. The induction included two former East Texas State Directors, Betty Fisher and Gwendolyn Oquendo. Their leadership continued to shape East Texas, the Right Side side of Texas, and this recognition marked their legacy alongside sorors from every corner of the Southern Region.

Fifty years of sisterhood builds Zeta Phi Beta Sorority’s foundation. The Crystal Doves of East Texas stand as a stalwart part of that foundation.

Congratulations to Brother Victor Glover ahead of the historic launch of Artemis II on April 1st. As part of NASA’s first crewed lunar mission in over 50 years, he continues to break barriers in space exploration, STEM, aerospace leadership, and service beyond Earth! 🚀 Our prayers for a safe launch and return.
