Agape Development joined with Southeast Houston neighbors to celebrate a momentous occassion for our community - the groundbreaking ceremony for the newly envisioned MacGregor Park. The first phase of renovations, to be completed in 2027, will include a new tennis complex with more courts (including pickleball!), 3 miles of new walking trails, the addition of 3,000 new trees, and a brand-new, shaded playground. As members of the neighborhood, we can't wait to utilize this amazing, new green space!

After school, this is where our kids land.

BBC gives K–6 students a place to work through homework, strengthen their reading, pray together, and grow with trusted teachers and volunteers every weekday.

Backyard Bible Club (BBC) is a Monday through Friday after-school program for K-6th graders in the community. At BBC, students receive one-on-one attention and support in a safe, loving environment, giving each student the opportunity to grow academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

Please join us in wishing Dane a very happy birthday!

Dane has been part of the Agape family since 2016 and many in our network also know him as Zach’s dad. He shows what it means to love our neighbors well through the care and intention he brings to his relationships. Dane regularly checks in with others and keeps weekly prayer text chains going.

Whether he is working with his hands, following the football schedule, or cheering on his grandkids, Dane brings a caring heart to everything he does. His faith, kindness, and commitment to others are gifts to our community.

Happy birthday, Dane! We’re grateful to celebrate you today.

Please join us in wishing Jabori a very happy birthday!

Jabori has been a part of the Agape Family since he and his brother joined BBC back in the day. Now, Jabori lives in an Agape Duplex just down the street, is a member of the Agape Young Adult program, and teaches in our afterschool program!

Jabori has a contagious smile and joyful energy that makes you want to be in his presence. He is an amazing role model to the many younger neighbors who look up to him. He is also loyal and passionate about the community (AND the Texans, Rockets, and Astros!)
