⛳ What a fantastic evening at the NAMC VIP Mixer!

The Puttery indoor mini-golf tournament brought together plenty of friendly competition, lots of fun, and many new faces. Most importantly, the evening created opportunities to build relationships, talk business, and spark new collaborations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the mixer a memorable success. We look forward to continuing to connect, collaborate, and grow together!

Our recent NAMC Lunch & Learn was more than a meeting—it was an educational, timely, and powerful conversation about the future of minority- and women-owned businesses in the Texas construction industry.

The discussion focused on the urgent challenges surrounding certification programs like DBE and HUB, the importance of businesses staying certified and professionally prepared, and the need for contractors to build strong relationships, demonstrate capacity, and deliver quality work.

Our panel, “Building Stronger Foundations: Women, Mothers Leading Business and Construction,” highlighted the incredible contributions of women leaders in construction and the unique challenges they continue to overcome. From bonding and safety to mentorship, faith, family, and entrepreneurship, the conversation reminded us that leadership in construction takes resilience, readiness, and community.

A key takeaway was clear: we must continue building an industry culture that supports women, young professionals, and the next generation of skilled workers. That means strengthening mentorship, creating visible pathways into the trades, supporting work-life balance, and recognizing trade professions as respected and rewarding careers.

Thank you to our speakers, panelists, sponsors, members, and guests who made this Lunch & Learn such a meaningful experience.

Stay connected with NAMC Greater Houston as we continue creating opportunities, advocating for contractors, and building stronger foundations for our members and communities.

Join us for our next event on May 20th for our mixer and follow-up discussion. Visit NAMCTexas.org to view our calendar and register.

Women In Construction! Truly something to behold. Our last event in February was a hoot! We probably don't have any seats available for Wednesday's event. But save the date June 25th 2026 for an event designed to develop "Business Ready" status. Primes need contractors that are prepared.
