This is Reba. And this is her third chance. 💙
Reba was adopted from us a couple of years ago into what we believed was a loving home. She left healthy, cared for, and ready to live out her happily-ever-after.
A few months ago, Reba was found as a stray.
Not surrendered.
Not returned.
Found.
She was picked up by Galveston County Animal Control, who quickly contacted us so she could come back where she was known and loved. We are heartbroken by what she’s been through—but incredibly grateful she made her way back to us.
Reba returned with torn skin, fleas, and painfully underweight. And the hardest news of all—she is now heartworm positive.

Despite everything, Reba is still Reba.
She is a 7-year-old senior girl who is gentle, laid-back, and quietly loving. She does well with people and other dogs, enjoys her walks, and is always happy to settle in for a good nap. No puppy training required—just patience, comfort, and consistency.
Reba needs a foster (or adopter!) so she can begin heartworm treatment in a calm, loving home.
All medical care and treatment costs will be fully covered by us. A foster or adopter would simply need to bring Reba to her scheduled appointments.
We took care of Reba once.
We’re committed to taking care of her again.
What she needs now is someone willing to open their home and heart so she can finish her treatment and finally get the future she’s always deserved.
