with the freeze and ice storms coming, we highly recommend that you have Hay and a dry place so the horses can have dry food not snow in addition fill up all water troughs and if you have water troughs at freeze, I recommend a 1 gallon of milk jug filled 1/3 of the way with water with one cup of salt shake and mix good place in water tank to keep the water from freezing over this will not stop it from freezing over, but it will prevent it from freezing over early.

Remember, protect your animals your plants pipes, and all persons. If you come in contact and get frostbite on your fingers or toes, do not soak in hot water place your hands or feet and cold water cold water will thaw out faster. Once feelings come back to hands your feet place dry cotton, gloves, or socks to protect from the cold if you are lucky enough to have a North wind break so that your animals can get behind it please try to do so.
