Today is Military Spouse Appreciation Day. We honor military spouses and the strength it takes to be one.

At Sunny Creek Ranch, we see the sacrifice it takes to make it through deployments, moves, and the many unknowns of military life. Military spouses hold families together through it all.
We are grateful for the military spouses in our Sunny Creek Ranch family and across our community.

Two Marines who have truly been the backbone of our program. Beyond grateful. General Steven Hummer attended Kody Wall’s promotion ceremony to Lieutenant at the Sheriff’s Department. Congratulations, Kody! What a well deserved achievement!

Honored to know them, and thankful for the steady leadership they bring to our community and to Sunny Creek Ranch.

Growth is not always easy. It is uncomfortable. It is honest.

At Sunny Creek Ranch, the horses respond to what we bring into the space. Our energy, our tension, our truth. There is no pretending with them.

That is where the real work begins. Facing our patterns, our defenses, and the stories we carry, and choosing awareness instead of avoidance.

The horses meet you there with no judgment. You do not have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to work on it.

We love you, Judge Jimmie C. Edwards III.
From his courageous service in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam, to his years as a Texas State Representative, and later as Montgomery County Judge, he dedicated his entire life to serving others. He founded the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission & created the new Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park, a lasting tribute to the sacrifices of our nation’s heroes.
Judge Edwards taught us at Sunny Creek Ranch to never give up & to keep our important mission going no matter what. He helped us so many times and always answered the phone when we called. He will be greatly missed. His mission and legacy will carry on.
We extend our heartfelt prayers and condolences to his wonderful family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A veteran steps into our pasture carrying years of life and experiences that don’t always have words. The horse meets them right where they are. No rank. No expectations. Just being present.

With time, something genuine takes shape. Horses respond with honesty. Veterans notice when a horse relaxes, walks away, or chooses connection. Those quiet moments matter, and they don’t stay here, they carry into life beyond the ranch.
