Yesterday we commemorated a profound chapter in military history that forever changed two nations – honoring all Australians and New Zealanders who have served and died in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations across more than a century.

The spirit of remembrance continued after the service with a wonderful community picnic at Bear Creek Park. It was heartwarming to see families come together, sharing stories and building connections while honoring this important day. Lest we forget.

Special guests included Mr. Drew Dainer, Acting Consul-General, Australia, Mr. Dan Connelly, Honorary Consul for New Zealand, Mr. Richard Shackleton MBE, His Britannic Majesty’s Consul General, Lieutenant Colonel Adam Hepworth, Australian Army, Christina Staib, Board President, Australian-American Chamber of Commerce and Emma Peterson, President, TANZOT.

Thank you to the Australian Consulate-General, Houston and Tanzot - The Australia and New Zealand Society of Texas for organizing this meaningful event with us, and to all the great volunteers who made it happen. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί πŸ‡³πŸ‡Ώ

Exciting highlights from our CERAWeek panel showcasing Australia's Energy Investment Opportunity - the room was buzzing! Australia's ambitious clean energy targets are creating real opportunities for global companies to invest, scale, and help build a more resilient, future-ready energy system.

We kicked off with insights from Consul-General Gabrielle Hall, followed by a dynamic panel with CSIRO, Western Australia, Queensland, and Victoria sharing breakthrough innovations and regional investment opportunities. From renewable electricity breakthroughs to critical minerals, hydrogen technologies to offshore wind - the innovation coming out of Australia is impressive.

Thank you to our partners - Austrade and Australian Consulate-General, Houston for another amazing Team Australia event. Make sure to connect with these energy sector leaders to explore Australia's investment landscape!

🌏 At CERAWEEK, we partnered with Australian Consulate-General, Houston and explored Australia's energy transformation with two companies leading the charge in investment and innovation.

A big thank you to Jon Norman from Hydrostor and Naveed Amirzada from Venn Energy for sharing their on-the-ground insights. Key takeaways: long-duration storage is critical for renewables, solar + battery combinations will define Australia's energy mix, and strategic partnerships with communities and government support are accelerating major projects across multiple states.

Australia continues positioning itself as the premier destination for energy investment - combining innovation, resources, and policy certainty to drive the global energy transition.
