The American Medical Association has named Legacy Community Health a 2026 Joy in Medicine® organization at the Bronze level. We are the first federally qualified health center in Texas to earn this recognition, and one of only a few in the country.

Burnout is one of the biggest challenges facing health care today. Through our StarLIGHT peer-support program and the Well-Being Index, we check in on our physicians and care teams and give them real support to reduce burnout factors.

When our caregivers are supported, they can keep caring for families who count on Legacy for years to come. Thank you for investing in the people behind the care.

When you invest in community health, you help bring care closer to home.

Last Friday, we gathered to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for Legacy’s new Acres Homes clinic, which has been caring for patients since July.

This milestone is possible thanks to Houston Methodist’s gift of more than $50 million supporting our Acres Homes and Pasadena clinics, the largest gift in Legacy’s history.

During Hunger Action Month, Legacy partnered with the Houston Food Bank to provide fresh fruit and food boxes at our Pasadena clinic.

For too many Texans, putting healthy food on the table means making difficult choices between groceries and other necessities like housing, transportation, utilities, or medical care. Nearly 1 in 5 Texans experiences food insecurity.

Through programs like FoodRx, Legacy helps patients access nutritious food that supports healthier lives and better health outcomes.
