I want to express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to FAM Houston for affording me the time to speak to citizenship navigators on Trauma Informed Approach.

Many refugees struggle because of fear of past experiences which become challenging for them to open up and receive the help that they need. Trauma causes depression, anxiety, lack of trust, social isolation etc.

FAM Houston today certificated citizenship navigators to go out in the community and build lasting relationships with refugees and help them to navigate their fears and work towards obtaining their citizenship. I am so grateful that I could be a participant of this dynamic group and forum today. We want to say to those who got certificated today that we are SUPER PROUD of you. Go and do your best impacting lives and changing their stories.

It was a GREAT Morning serving, praying and feeding God's people. We are so We had a great morning feeding, praying and serving God's people. We are grateful to God for his many blessings upon our lives. Today, we serve 130 plates to the people of God.

As the school year begin, we gathered the parents of the children we provide educational support for to discuss the importance and benefits of education for our kids. We encouraged the parent to continue to inspire and motivate their children to go to school daily and strive for excellence. We reassured the parents that we are committed to the process and will do everything with in God's power to meet the children academic needs. We look forward to a brighter future for these kids.
