Some needs are easy to see. Others are carried in silence.
When I think about the road many young men have to walk, I think about how easily their silence and independence can be read the wrong way. Sometimes the “lone wolf” label itself is a misrepresentation. What looks like chosen isolation may actually be someone who has spent too long feeling misunderstood.
I also think about my own road to growth. For me personally, a lot of growth came from simply not knowing and having to learn through mistakes, trials, and experience. That is a big reason presence matters so much to me. Sometimes having somebody there can help you understand what you might otherwise have to learn the hard way.
Meeting people where they are has always mattered to me. Being present first lets someone know they are seen, heard, and have somebody in their corner.
The heart behind The Surge Wolfpack is simple. Be present. Walk alongside them. Give back to the communities around us. One community at a time.
Service begins when we choose to stop walking past the need.
