This invasive tree has spread across Texas landscapes with a speed and thoroughness that should be alarming, but because the damage happens gradually and silently, most people simply don’t notice until the native plants they grew up around are just gone.

KWLB Wings & Wine Native Garden Tour last week was a hit! Over 60 people from all around the community enjoyed sipping wine and strolling through the beautiful, blooming gardens. A guided plant walk led by the homeowners, who are certified Texas Master Naturalists, highlighted many of the over one hundred different species of Texas native plants spread across the front and back yards. Thank you Jennifer Wigton Francois, Stroll, and Wild Birds Unlimited for supporting this event!

THIS SATURDAY IS A SPECIAL EVENT FOR ALL AGES.

Live Raptors - the Ambassador Birds from the Houston SPCA Wildlife Center will be displayed by their volunteer handlers - up close and personal! Learn about the rescue and rehabilitation efforts of the Wildlife Center.

Visit with Texas Master Naturalist Coastal Prairie Chapter volunteers and learn lots of cool facts about birds of prey in Texas.

The kids can dissect real owl pellets to discover what the owl had been eating!!
