There isn’t a better feeling than watching a Veteran who suffered from severe PTSD and was homeless to getting custody of his children and thriving. It wasn’t easy, but he did it. There is hope. It’s not over.

This is something FHI feels is necessary for all Veterans in need of a service dog. Whether it be an emotional support dog or full service dog for disabled Veterans. One of our goals for reintegrating homeless Veterans is to provide them with an emotional support dog.

What are your thoughts on this?

A bill introduced two months ago that would give veterans the opportunity to train service dogs to reduce the effects of mental health issues has yet to come to a vote, even though it should be a “no-brainer,” one of the Republican co-sponsors said Tuesday.
