Our annual Scholarship Tea to celebrate our 2026 Lynette Mason Gregg Scholarship recipients was hosted today by our Board of Directors at the beautiful home of Jana and Richard Miller. This precious honored tradition continues to remind us why this work matters.

Each recipient embodies dedication, resilience, and the spirit of excellence we’re proud to honor.

The Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre
Scholarship Endowment exists to nurture the next generation of dancers by expanding access to high-quality training, artistic growth, and professional development. This is possible only because of the generosity of our supporters, whose commitment ensures that students with passion and drive have the resources to pursue their dreams.
Thanks to everyone for a beautiful day and a beautiful tradition. 💜

Happy birthday SOPHIE GAY!

Sophie is an 11th grader at Lutheran South Academy where she is Class President and member of National Honor Society. She is excited for her 5th season with BABHT and a member of the Social Committee. She has been honored to perform in numerous BAHBT performances and this will be her 11th season of The Nutcracker. She started dancing at age 4 at RAFA and currently dances at Feijóo Ballet School under the excellent tutelage of Lorna and Lorena Feijóo, Nelson Madrigal and Natalie Zundel. She has enjoyed summer intensives at Austin Ballet and Nashville Ballet. She is grateful for the training, knowledge and guidance from her teachers and support and love of her parents and grandparents.

We hope your day is as special as you are! 💜gayy

As we close our 50th season, we find ourselves filled with gratitude and reflection.
Fifty years ago, our founder, Lynette Mason Gregg, had a vision to create a place where the arts could inspire, connect, and enrich our community. What began as a dream has grown into something far greater than anyone could have imagined, thanks to all of you.
To our donors and sponsors, who believed in the power of the arts…
To our board members, artistic staff, and volunteers, whose dedication keeps us moving forward…
To our dancers, artists, and alumni, who have brought passion and excellence to our stage…
And to our audiences, who have supported us, celebrated with us, and shared in every moment…
Thank you.
This milestone season has been a celebration not only of our history, but of the people who have made that history possible. You are the heart of Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre.
As we look ahead, we are filled with excitement for what’s to come. The legacy continues, and we are honored to carry it forward into our 51st season and beyond.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Thank you for being part of our story.

The Legacy Continues…..
Join us for our 51st!

Tonight marked the final curtain call for this incredible run. What a journey it’s been. Deep gratitude to everyone who poured their heart into this show — our director, Laura Henning, assistant director, Lauren Frere, Kansas City choreographer, Caitlin Cannon, the phenomenal cast, crew, creatives, and every person who showed up and supported us along the way. This team made magic.

The run may be over, but the memories stay. Thank you to the cast who became family, the crew who kept us shining, and the audiences who filled the room with energy night after night.

Meet the cast…
RACHEL HARRIS (Aunt Eller) is delighted to make her musical theater comeback as Aunt Eller in BAHBT’s production of Oklahoma! Rachel has a Bachelor’s degree in Musical Theater from New York University and a Music Therapy degree from Shenandoah University. She spent 20 years as a board-certified music therapist, vocal coach, worship leader, and music director for community theater, including productions of Peter Pan, jr., Winnie the Pooh, jr., and A Christmas Carol while raising and homeschooling her three children. She is joined in this production by her daughters, Jessica and Amelia Harris. Historically, Rachel has performed in community productions including Oklahoma! (ensemble), Guys and Dolls (Hot Box Doll), Grease (Miss Lynch), The Nutcracker (Party Lady), and several revues. She has also performed with Sweet Adelines, International. In addition to performing, Rachel is the wardrobe assistant to Candis Cannon, BAHBT’s wardrobe director. She is also the owner of Harris Financial Consulting, PLLC, a registered investment advisor, and The Process Specialist, LLC, a boutique consulting firm. Rachel offers her sincere thanks to the directors and the creative team for this opportunity to rekindle her lifelong love of musical theater, and to her family and friends for their love, support, and willingness to always sing along.
