If you normally pay at the Post, reach out to me so we can get you squared away.
I’ll also send out individual reminders this week.
4. Merry Christmas!
If you don’t have a place to spend Christmas, please reach out—I’ll connect you with Legion families opening their homes.
If you have room at your table, let me know so we can make sure everyone has a place to celebrate.
As always, be safe, enjoy your days, and let me know if you need anything!
Merry Christmas

I hope this kickoff to the holiday season gives you all a chance to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with friends and family. Maybe even find a great deal or two on Christmas gifts.
Today, and throughout the year, it’s important to pause and reflect: to recognize how far you’ve come and to be grateful for those who continue to support your efforts. I am deeply thankful for the incredible group of Legionnaires who have stepped up and will continue to walk with us on this journey. I’m equally grateful for my network of friends, family, and colleagues who stand behind all the ambitious things we strive to accomplish.
Gratitude is one of the healthiest human reactions we can share. Take a moment to tell someone how much you appreciate them and reflect on the blessings of this day.
Wishing you a season filled with warmth, joy, and gratitude.

American Legion Post 239 Statement Spring, Texas – November 2025
American Legion Post 239 will not stay silent while America’s veterans are dragged through the mud. Recent reporting that suggests veterans are filing “dubious” or “fraudulent” disability claims is not investigative journalism. It is character assassination.
Our veterans are not gaming the system. They are victims of a bureaucracy that delays care, questions their integrity, and forces them to fight for recognition of real injuries: blast concussions, toxic exposures, crushed joints, traumatic brain injuries, and the invisible scars of war. To suggest otherwise is offensive and immoral.
At Post 239, we see firsthand how veterans struggle to navigate the VA system. Many of us spend years fighting for benefits we have already earned. To accuse us of “milking” the system is to betray the sacred contract between America and its defenders: you serve, you sacrifice, and when you come home broken, your nation takes care of you.
We call on Congress to address this slander directly. I encourage veterans to share their experiences with the reporter responsible, Craig Whitlock ([email protected] or [email protected]). Congressman Dan Crenshaw’s office can also be reached through his official site.
Here’s the link to the article: Craig Whitlock - The Washington Post
It is time to stop the suspicion and honor the only contract that truly matters—the one written in sacrifice, sealed in blood, and signed in service to the United States of America.

Honor our Contract.

Your American Legion Post 239 in Spring, Texas, is raising money for Wreaths Across America. Can you donate $17 to put a wreath on a Veteran's grave site? Every year, 1/4 of Houston National Cemetery is uncovered due to a lack of funds.
Please help us honor our fallen Veterans with a small $17 donation. If you can afford to donate more, please do!
Use the QR code or visit www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/TX1473P to make your donation.
