COLD FRONT UPDATE 💨

The Arctic cold front heading our way is now expected to arrive sooner than anticipated. We can expect the front to move through Saturday night/Sunday morning, but the threat for a hard freeze remains Sunday night through Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Residents are advised to make all preparations before sunset Saturday, like wrapping pipes, protecting plants, have a plan for pets, etc.

Entire Freeway closed, both directions, Saturday and Sunday July 22-23. Avoid the headache.

🗣️UPDATE: I-45 IS NOW OPEN!
Work was completed early and all lanes are open as of 12:30pm on 7/22.

⚠️I-45 LANE CLOSURES THIS WEEKEND
Starting at 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 22 there will be a total closure of the I-45 main lanes in both directions between FM 518 and NASA Road 1 while contractors install the final overhead sign structure. Lanes are expected to be back open by Sunday, July 23, at noon.

⚠️PLEASE AVOID THE AREA IF POSSIBLE. Traffic delays are expected and we highly encourage residents to find alternate routes and avoid this area during the closures.

There will also be closures of I-45 entrance ramps at southbound Bay Area Blvd. and northbound FM 518, and the southbound exit ramp to FM 518.

Memorial Day Service, Monday 10am at Fairview Cemetery, 901 N. Kansas, League City.🇺🇲🇺🇸

MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY

All League City residents are invited to attend a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 29 to honor the men and women who have sacrificed their lives in service of our country.

The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery located at the end of North Kansas Street along the banks of Clear Creek. The ceremony will feature a 21-gun salute and presentation of the colors by members of League City Police Department, Dickinson Police Department, and the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.

There will also be a moment of silence and a roll call of area service members who have died while in military service.
