We have an update for everyone who has generously helped this family secure a home to shelter them from rain and sun. After months of collecting donations, we were able to build them a house. However, they faced a challenge when it was discovered they didn’t own the property where they were staying, which caused issues with obtaining a building permit. Thanks to the grace of God and support from Father and the sisters, the house has finally been completed. It includes two bedrooms and a living room for the family of nine. While they don’t yet have electricity, they’ve built their own well, ensuring access to water. God bless everyone who contributed so generously to provide this family with a safe place to live and a solid floor for their children to sleep on.

We're thrilled to share an exciting new project with you! During our last visit, Father Hieu discovered a family in dire need of our help. This family of eleven - a devoted husband and wife with nine children - currently lives in cramped conditions in a small wooden shack with a tin roof.

The father works as a day laborer, but in their area, work is hard to come by, and there's no assurance of daily employment. Meanwhile, the mother stays home to care for their children. Our goal is to provide them with a house that offers the space and comfort this large family deserves.

The cost to build this new home is $5,000. Thanks to a generous donor who has committed to covering half the expense, we only need to raise an additional $2,500.

If you can spare a few dollars to contribute to this cause, we would be immensely grateful. Your support can make a significant difference in transforming the lives of this family.

Gia đình này gồm mười một người - một cặp vợ chồng tận tụy với chín đứa con - hiện đang sống trong điều kiện chật chội trong một căn nhà gỗ nhỏ với mái tôn.

Người cha làm lao động theo ngày, nhưng ở khu vực của họ, việc làm rất khó tìm, và không có sự đảm bảo về công việc hàng ngày. Trong khi đó, người mẹ ở nhà chăm sóc các con. Mục tiêu của chúng tôi là cung cấp cho họ một ngôi nhà có đủ không gian và sự thoải mái mà gia đình lớn này xứng đáng có.

Get to know a new place: giáo xứ Đắc Phơi, Buon Mẹ Thuoc which is about 1h flight from Saigon, then takes another 90 mins to get to the village where 2 sisters serve here for a few months. They said the kids here have never experienced any activities from any charity group yet and this is the first time they got to do some fun activities, candies from the US and lucky money. Old people got some muscle rubs, we have to make sure they know how to use it by telling them not to eat and where to use 😁.

We are going to a new village in Buon Ma Thuoc next month (Jan 2025) and the clinic has asked us if we can bring some pain relieving cream for Geriatric patients. Update to those who are White Rice Foundation 's donors. Our mission this year is in Laos. Here are some pictures of the small villages where sisters are serving: high needs area and mental health people.
P/S: Father Hieu is looking for Diabetic meds to give out to his patients who can't afford the medicine due to cost. Please let us know if you have any extra or any hookup to the pharmacy.

Getting these candies, toys and muscle rubs for White Rice Foundation's mission next week. Jake Schulz and Kim-Michael Schulz will experience their very first time in Laos and deliver these to the kiddos and elderly there. Thank you for all of your donations we have been received throughout the year. This mission is not to change any people's life, but just simply to let them know that there is someone somewhere in the other side of the world, there are people who still think about them, and deliver these little joys to them. Just simply encourage the sisters who have been working hard to make the kid's life better while they are in the position of not any better than the kids. Thank you all!
