BREAKING: The Biden Administration has announced the date for the release of the DACA rule. The goal of publishing this rule through the federal regulatory process is to strengthen DACA protections in the face of litigation that seeks to end the program entirely.⠀

A few key dates to note for community members: ⠀
⠀
1. The rule is not yet published, it will be published on 8/30. Today was just an announcement of the unpublished version.⠀
⠀
2. The rule will not go into effect until 60 days from 8/30 (about the end of October).⠀
⠀
3. Individuals cannot use this new rule to apply for DACA at this moment.⠀
⠀
More community guidance will be out soon so stay tuned and follow for when that gets published on our site.

We have lost yet another soul to domestic violence.
One of our board members wife, shared some devastating news this weekend. This is a sad reminder that our work still has a LONG way to go, that the stigma of “pushing through it” does NOT work if it’s one sided.
Lastly it is a reminder to those of you who may be reading this post and going through this situation behind closed doors or know someone that is; that there 🚨IS help🚨
Throw out the window the thought of “being strong” and get your self out.
PUT YOURSELF FIRST. PUT YOUR KIDS FIRST.
