THANK YOU!!!! 20 LAPTOPS DONATED!!!!When we started Under the Mango Tree we created all the social media accounts to go with it because that is just what you do, or what we are told we should do. We got all excited and made a few posts to grab attention then we went silent. But not because our charity efforts stopped, or we changed our mind, it was because social media was not the reason we created Under the Mango Tree. We did not create a charity to talk about ourselves.
When the pandemic hit and home school became the new norm, we immediately saw a need for laptops, especially in low income communities. We did what we have been doing all this time and saved our money and then purchased the laptops to donate. Because we are funding ourselves it takes time to save money and time was something we were working against. More students needed laptops and they had already been struggling with distance learning for over a month. That is when we reached out to all of you. This post is because YOU all made it possible. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, thank you, thank you! Whether you donated, shared our post, or even just mentioned to a friend, it made a difference and we are beyond grateful.
