Thanks to all our donors who helped us with this emergency need for assistance!! You all are amazing!!

We put out the call on Wednesday about a single mother of five in need. Things have been rough on her after the passing of her husband a few weeks ago.

By Sunday we were able to deliver to them all kinds of supplies from cleaning products, hygiene products, kitchen items, clothes, shoes, and even some items for fun for the babies.

We stayed and talked and listened to their story. A story of struggle and hope that we all share.

They were extremely grateful and the mother, Jennifer, is very appreciative of all of you that made it happen.

Still a long road ahead for this family and many others.

If you’d like to get involved, feel free to send us a message and let’s get it ROLLING!!!

You’re efforts are making a difference! Thanks again! ✊🏽❤️

As you can imagine multiple items are in needed for this household.

Thanks so much to all our donors who have donated to our cause! The first action was a success! We were able to make 23 boxes for homes in Magnolia. A barrio that’s home to numerous Mexican American families.

It was great to be able to connect and offer a nice gesture to our neighbors and offer a bit of cheer to some kiddos. At a safe distance of course. ❤️

If you didn’t get to donate for this one don’t worry. We are always accepting donations to get ready for the next one In third ward.

Check the page or message here for more info on how to donate and what items are needed.

Even a simple share of this page to your family and friend is help enough! ❤️

Thanks again for y’all’s help!
Looking forward to the next one!

“Janies box”

This is an idea I’ve been sitting on for a bit.

I’ve been wanting to do something that directly helps the neighborhoods I grew up in or around.

Ill always be an ally of the underdog, the oppressed, or the overlooked and ignored.

We know that health and hygiene are vital in today’s climate. Virus’s are overwhelmingly impacting minorities and urban neighborhoods already stricken with property.

I will be collecting various hygiene products and other items, and distributing them in what will be called a “Janie’s Box”

This idea was shown to me by my mother, Janie.

When we were kids, my mother and aunts would collectively watch over all of us. We spent a lot of time around each other. We shared everything from clothes, beds, food, and toys.

At Christmas, we were always together. My mom didn’t have much money but she always wanted to be sure everyone got something. So she would make these holiday boxes with hygiene products that included things like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, hair products, socks, underwear, and so on.

She would included packs of gum, coloring books, stickers and random things like that to add some extra cheer. And we would all love it. Growing up without a lot, it gave us a sense of comfort.

So that’s what I will be doing and I wanna put this out there on my birthday.

You can go to the social media pages and keep up with all the information here.

I would like to be able to get to a point where we can get enough items to distribute Janies boxes to other folks that wanna pass them out in their own neighborhoods.

This is a perfect opportunity to meet and connect with their neighbors and ensure that their neighbors in need are helped.

So please help me out by sharing the info and social media sites and consider some items to donate!

I’ll post the progress and work on our social media pages and hopefully inspire others to do the same.

Feel free to let me know what neighborhoods we should focus on.

If you or a family you know could use this, please message us.

Anyone that wants to be a part of this community project, send me a message and let’s talk.
A little work can go a long way.

Thanks for listening and reading!!
