Camp Lên Đường Postponed to 2021

Based on the growing concern for the rapid spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the recently declared global pandemic, we regret to inform you that Camp Lên Đường is officially postponed to 2021. All associated activities including fundraisers in Toronto; San Diego; Washington, D.C.; and Houston and the Staff Retreat will be cancelled. Though an extremely difficult decision to make after long months of all teams’ hard work, the Lên Đường 2020 Staff Team hope you find comfort and reassurance in knowing your well-being and safety remain our top priority.

We will start planning to host Lên Đường 2021 and hope you will join us next year! All registered campers and staff will receive registration refunds within the next 7-10 business days. Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Thank you for your understanding. We are grateful for our community of Lên Đường champions, campers, staff, sponsors, alumni, and community members and hope to see you at future VCSA events.

We will continue to pray for everyone's safety and wellness.

Do you have Facebook, Instagram, YouTube channel, TikTok, Twitter, or any other forms of social media? Are you good at making videos? VCSA is pleased to announce the LDC2020 Social Media Campaign Contest to encourage youth and young professionals from across North America to attend Len Duong Camp.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Applicant must be 18 years of age or older by May 2020

Applicant must register and attend Len Duong Camp 2020 to accept the award

APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Social Media Campaign contest winner will be notified by April 15, 2020.

AWARDS:
$250 awarded to the video with the most total views by April 13, 2020 at 11:59PM CST.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Complete and submit the Legacy Social Media Campaign Application Form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdBN4EUJYHOmVCW4LSl-12JwheA96HlWMU_KTHuOQH_3TBxLg/viewform)

Create an original video and post on any and as many social media with the following criteria:

Choose one of the following themes for your video: What does legacy mean to you?
What is your legacy?
What do you want your legacy to be?
What does being Vietnamese mean to you?

Connect your theme to promote Camp Len Duong 2020

Hashtag your video with the following hashtags: , ,
Have fun and go viral!

On April 13, no later than 11:59PM CST, email us at [email protected] the link(s) to your video and number of views each video received.
We will be verifying the number of views.

Nối tiếp truyền thống tốt đẹp của trại Lên Đường trong 22 năm qua, trại Lên Đường kỳ thứ 23 sẽ được tổ chức từ ngày Thứ Sáu 22 tháng 5 đến ngày Thứ Hai 25 tháng 5 năm 2020 tại đất trại Camp Eder, Fairfield, Pennsylvania (cách Washington D.C. khoảng 90 phút lái xe).
Chủ đề của trại nhằm giúp các bạn trẻ tuổi từ 18 trở lên phát triển các kỹ năng lãnh đạo trong sinh hoạt cộng đồng và tìm hiểu về văn hóa và lịch sử nước nhà. Một chương trình độc đáo với chủ đề “Live Your Legacy - Honoring Our Roots, Shaping Our Future”.

Lên Đường Leadership Development Camp is a flagship program of the Vietnamese Culture and Science Association (VCSA) organization. Its mission is to provide an environment where young adults can come to develop leadership skills, network with like-minded individuals within a cultural framework, and to learn more about their cultural heritage.
