MMM is a permanent, long-term mission. The hospital, its main facility, is in a remote area of Mexico in the state of Chihuahua. It is serving the Tarahumara Indians, and other indigenous groups, who live scattered throughout 200,000 square miles of intensely rugged wilderness. The hospital lies on the single road that leads to the heart of their territory. The closest other hospitals are more than an hour away by car in either direction on the only paved highway in the region.

Kids dental care- we try to make it as fun as possible!
In rural Mexican communities, dental care is often an overlooked aspect of health. When faced with challenges like limited access to clean water, nutritious food, or essential medical services, oral hygiene can seem like a low priority. However, neglecting dental health can have serious, cascading effects that reach far beyond a simple toothache. We offer dental services through the hospital as a part of our goal to treat the overall health of our community. Last year, 184 patients received dental treatments!

Our hospital campus houses a bible translation program that records the Bible in Tarahumara's indigenous language and indigenous Christian music, sermons, and testimonies. These audio files are loaded onto our MP3 players and given to each hospital patient. An estimated 95% of Tarahumara people cannot read, so having the MP3 players allows them to pursue the Gospel personally in their language. In addition, everyone around them also gets to partake since the MP3 players only come with a loudspeaker and not headphones. The MP3 players, assembled on campus, also reach deep into the Sierra through backpacking groups of missionaries and indigenous church members. So far, 20,000 players have been distributed!

Our Tarahumara chaplain, Mexican chaplain, and Mexican and American missionaries provide corporate and private prayer opportunities for patients, devotionals, Bible studies, and activities in the hospital wards throughout the week.

Happy International Day of Families!
The base of our work is our hospital facilities in the Sierra Madre, but we seek to reach out and support the family as a whole. From support for pediatric care and nutrition to cataract surgery for elderly patients, we hope to meet the health needs of all generations of the families we encounter so that their extended family members will also be encouraged.
