We had a packed house at our final Q Street Lunch of the year as @ Caucus Chairman Rep. Mark Takano joined us for an inside look at the new Equality Caucus Institute, which will advance LGBTQ+ equality by providing nonpartisan research, education, and leadership development that strengthens policymaking and expands opportunities for openly LGBTQ+ public-policy professionals.

Thank you, Chairman Takano, for sharing your vision and for your continued leadership on equality. And thank you to all our members who showed up and filled the room, your engagement is what makes this community thrive!

Thank you to everyone who joined Q Street earlier this week at our 2025 Holiday Party. It was wonderful to see our community come together and celebrate the season.

We honored Jenny Kane for her six years of service on the Q Street Board. Her leadership helped shape Q Street into the organization it is today, from expanding our Women and Gender Expansive programming to supporting events that strengthened our members’ connections with policymakers across Washington, D.C. We are grateful for her contributions as she concludes her term.

We also recognized our recently elected board members, including returning leaders Rob Curis, Yesenia Henninger, Stu Malec, and David Reid, as well as our newest board member, Abigail Harris.

Finally, a special thank-you to our hosts at DC for the fantastic space and hospitality. Wishing everyone a warm and joyful holiday season! 🌈✨

We just wrapped up the final session of Q Street's Professional Development Series: Career Navigation!

Over 4 sessions, we welcomed LGBTQ+ professionals from every corner of DC, from Capitol Hill staffers, recent grads, federal employees, and seasoned advocates looking to sharpen their edge.

Led by The Method Coach, each 90-minute session delivered live coaching, real-time resume and cover letter strategy, peer feedback, and practical tools to navigate change and land the next opportunity.
