AGL Families, we are members of the Texas Foster Family Association. They are hosting a retreat Oct. 30- Nov. 1. Registration is open.

From TFFA: We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the Texas Foster Family Association Family Retreat, taking place October 30 - November 1st! We will have 40 spots available, so be sure to reserve your spot now.

Our retreats are designed to provide foster, kinship, and adoptive families with an opportunity to rest, reconnect, and build lasting relationships with others who understand the unique joys and challenges of caring for children. Throughout the weekend, families can enjoy fellowship, encouragement, training, fun activities, and time to recharge together.

As many of you know, these retreats have made a meaningful impact on families across Texas for many years. With recent changes to our funding partnerships, the Texas Foster Family Association is now responsible for securing the financial support needed to continue offering these valuable experiences. We remain committed to keeping our retreats affordable while ensuring we can continue serving families as well.

To help us plan responsibly and reduce last-minute cancellations, we are implementing a $25 registration deposit per person for this retreat. This deposit is fully refundable and will be reimbursed when you attend the retreat. The deposit simply helps us confirm attendance and allows us to make accurate lodging, meal, and activity arrangements.

We look forward to spending an encouraging and memorable weekend together. Additional retreat details, including registration information and event logistics, will be made available once you have reserved your spot.

Celebrate fall with a Weekend Retreat

Happy Saturday, AGL Families and Staff

I want each of you to know that I prayed for you this morning. Fostering is not easy. It requires patience, sacrifice, flexibility, compassion, and a heart willing to keep showing up, even on the difficult days.

I believe God has brought some bright, amazing, and compassionate people to AGL for a purpose. You are not just opening your homes. You are helping children see that their story can have a different picture.

Every act of patience, every word of encouragement, every meal prepared, every appointment attended, every hug, every prayer, and every time you choose to show up is another color added to a child’s life. You may not always get to see the finished picture, but never underestimate the part you played in helping them create it.

At AGL, we believe that , “if we provide the paint, the child can recreate the picture.” Thank you for being willing to bring the paint and help our children discover the beautiful possibilities ahead of them.

May God continue to strengthen you, give you wisdom, and bless your homes. I pray that when the days are difficult, He reminds you that what you are doing matters.

We love you. We appreciate you. And we thank God for you.

We celebrate a beautiful new beginning and a forever family! 💕

When a child is unable to safely return home, we seek a loving home where they can feel safe, cherished, and supported. We celebrate this precious child finding a family who will teach her about Christ and, most importantly, demonstrate His love through their everyday actions.

As we celebrate this joyful adoption, we also hold her biological family close in prayer, asking God to bring them peace, comfort, and healing.

Congratulations on your forever home! May you always know just how deeply you are loved. 💗

Florida couple DaShoan and Sofia Olds knew they wanted to be a blessing through adoption. After seeing a local news story about seven siblings separated into four different foster homes, they knew they had to step in.
