What an AMAZING Christmas In July event we held on July 4, 2026, Celebrating America's 250th Birthday!!!

There are so many folks and businesses to thank! First and foremost, this event would not have taken place without our dedicated members who have spent many, many hours over the last couple of months getting the park and buildings in good shape, soliciting and picking up auction items, helping to set up the auction the week of, marking parking spaces for the vendors, getting trash cans and a dumpster in place. If you see the following folks around town, please thank them: Matagorda Area Chamber of Commerce BEST July 4th Parade...EVER!, Matagorda County Pct 2 Commissioner, Mike Estlinbaum and Teresa Gibbons, Pct 2 Constable: Keith Sullivan and Deputy Pete Hale, Chief Cook of Matagorda Fire & Rescue and their team. Thank you to all the businesses and individuals in Matagorda, Bay City and surrounding towns, that so generously donated wonderful items for both the Silent and Live Auctions...we are so very grateful for your continued support!

THREE DAYS LEFT UNTIL CHRISTMAS IN JULY HITS MATAGORDA!!! This unique wine rack and serving vessel is amazing!! This can be YOURS if bid in our LIVE AUCTION starting at 2 PM on July 4th with our very own member and auctioneer extraordinaire, MITCH THAMES!! Don't forget we have a PARADE sponsored by Matagorda Area Chamber of Commerce starting at 9:30 AM and our VERY SPECIAL GUEST, SANTA will be leading off the parade. He will also be greeting children from 10AM to Noon in the Maritime Museum Building!!! There will so be carnival games, train rides, free petting zoo and SOOO much more. There will also be various foods and beverages available including Mata Smash Burger selling those delicious burgers at the concession stand! WE WILL ALSO BE HAVING A VERY SPECIAL "RINGING OF THE BELLS" AT 1:50 pm TO COMMEMORATE THE ORIGINAL 13 COLONIES. This will happen in unison across our great country!
