The Prophet ﷺ told us that Allah divided mercy into one hundred parts. He sent down just one part among all of creation, and by it, jinn, humans, animals, even wild beasts show compassion to their young.

The other ninety-nine? He has held it back, for the Day of Resurrection.
And in another narration, a servant sinned, repented, sinned again, repented again, and again, until his Lord said:
“Do what you like. I have granted you forgiveness.”
If Allah’s mercy is truly this vast, why do so many of us stay stuck in the same cycle of sinning, despairing, giving up on returning?
Often it’s because we’ve never understood what genuine repentance actually requires, or how a sin is really lifted.
