WE GOTTA DATE SATURDAY, BABY! WOOOO!!!

I don't know about y'all, but I'ma be out at dat GumboFest at The Lodge and Tavern at Cypress Falls, me. We got live Zydeco by our padnahs, T' Monde, who are comin' all the way from Lafayette, down where your mean 'ol mamaw lives and them. We also got us a silent auction, some of dem prize raffles, and a big 'ol kid's area so you don't gotta s***k 'em out in front of the grown folks out havin' a good time. We even got a face painter for them sha bebes so they be lookin' good for dat Instagram.

If y'all on dat fence about entering an' fais do-do with us and get dat money you better get off that thing and google yourself on over to www.wimberleygumbofest.com and fill you out dat online registration. Y'all can download and read them rules there, too.

Don't forget all dat money we make we gon' give right to My Neigbor's Keeper to keep dem helpin' folks that need it most! Just a hair over 2 weeks until the 5th Annual Wimberley GumboFest benefitting My Neighbor's Keeper! Team registration is still open but filling up fast! Live Cajun music by Chansons et Soûlards starts at 1 PM! Friday 4/21 Early Setup Kickoff Party from 6-9PM. Family-friendly with local vendors, a kid's bounce house, and FREE face painting! Silent auction and raffles and oh yeah, GUMBO, y'all! Each adult admission gets you 5 gumbo tasting tickets!

All dat money we raise goes to My Neighbors Keeper, so come on down and show us what you got! Let's get cookin' and have a good ol' time, y'all!

Gates open at noon Saturday, and cook team applications are still being accepted!

We were thrilled to present the big novelty check to yesterday! (along with a smaller real one 😉) Because of each and every person that came out and cooked, sponsored, judged, vended, donated, and helped we were able to give $8000 to our friends at Barnabas in support of the amazing work they do. If you haven't seen their new building and the fantastic plans they have in store to serve the undeserved in our community, you should do yourself a favor and check it out. The volunteers at Barnabas are truly a gift to the Wimberley community and we look forward to continued collaboration and events.

That about wraps up GumboFest '22 y'all! We'll see you all again next year for GumboFest '23 on April 22nd at nowhere else but Swimming Hole!
