It is a privilege to be here today to discuss a significant opportunity that will enable us to enhance our mission and expand our impact.
At United Service Human Rights, we offer a variety of services to support our community members. These include employment assistance, government assistance, legal services, and financial coaching. Our goal is to empower individuals, promote equality, and protect the rights of everyone in our society.
One of our key focuses is education, which we believe is crucial for personal and community development. To better serve our community, we are currently seeking a free space and volunteer instructors proficient in both English and Spanish to teach U.S. Citizenship Classes and ESL (English as a Second Language) classes. These programs are essential for helping immigrants integrate into society, improve their language skills, and prepare for the U.S. citizenship process.
In addition to these educational services, United Service Human Rights provides assistance with a wide range of immigration-related paperwork. Our services include:
1) Free U.S. Citizenship Classes: Preparing immigrants for the citizenship test and educating them on their rights and responsibilities.
2) Assistance with Preparing and Filing Immigration Paperwork: Guiding individuals through the complex process of immigration documentation.
3) Assistance with Preparing and Filing Petitions for Alien Relatives: Helping families stay together and navigate the legal requirements for bringing relatives to the U.S.
4) Assistance with Preparing and Filing Applications to Register Permanent Residence: Supporting individuals in their journey to become permanent residents.
5) Assistance with Preparing and Filing Applications for Permanent Employment (EB-2) Visas: Providing support for individuals seeking permanent employment opportunities.
6) Assistance with Preparing and Filing Applications for Permanent Employment (EB-1) Visas: Helping individuals with extraordinary abilities or achievements navigate the visa process.
7) Assistance with Preparing and Filing Applications for Asylum and Withholding of Removal: Offering critical support for those seeking refuge and protection.
8) Writing Business Plans with Full Graphics Design: Assisting entrepreneurs in creating comprehensive and visually appealing business plans to ensure their success.
The impact of these services on individuals and families is profound, providing them with the tools and support they need to succeed. However, to deliver these programs effectively, we require a dedicated space where our community members can gather, learn, and grow.
Additionally, we need volunteer instructors who are passionate about teaching and can provide instruction in both English and Spanish.
