While saying goodbye to exchange friends and family is never easy, the end of the year is a time to reflect. What lessons will you be taking with you? How have the new relationships you built impacted you?

The exchange community needs your help telling Congress to reject the FY26 budget proposal.

The President’s FY26 budget proposal threatens to decimate the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs by 93%, putting more than 150 exchange programs and the U.S. organizations that implement them at risk. If enacted, the cuts would weaken American diplomacy, undermine international partnerships, and cost billions in economic impact.

Our colleagues at the Alliance for International Exchange have provided a pre-drafted letter for your representatives that underscores the power of these programs. We encourage you to submit it and, if possible, share how exchange has shaped your life or strengthened your community.
