Know the Signs!

What if “something doesn’t feel right”? This is the beginning of an important conversation. YOU know your body.

If you're pregnant or postpartum and something feels different, unusual, worsening, or simply not right, don't be afraid to ask questions. You have the right to ask questions and receive understandable information about your care.

Sis, Don’t Let Them Turn You Away!

Too many families know what it feels like to ask for help, report a concern, or say something doesn't feel right, but still not be heard.

That has to change!

On August 29, 2026, Earth’s Natural Touch: Birth Care & Beyond, Inc. is celebrating the Sis, Don’t Let Them Turn You Away! campaign, a community effort focused on helping Black families recognize their rights, communicate with their healthcare providers, ask questions, advocate for themselves, and know when they need to push for answers. Because being heard shouldn't depend on who you are, how you speak, or whether someone believes you.

When God Blesses you Give Praise

Today, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for our incredible Program Coordinator, Mr. Onja, at Ufedo Birthwork and Global Resources

Postpartum Awareness Week Walk
Saturday, May 9th | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍Lakeside Park | Duncanville, TX

This Mother’s Day weekend, we’re giving moms one of the most powerful gifts they can receive… REST.

Delighted to Doula, in partnership with Daddy Stroller Club, invites fathers and partners to bring their children out for a morning of connection, community, and intentional support—while moms stay home to experience uninterrupted rest and care.
Because postpartum support doesn’t stop after birth.
It continues through healing, recovery, and the everyday moments where mothers need to feel seen, supported, and protected.

✨ Fathers + partners will receive a special gift bag to take home for mom
✨ Community connection + family support
✨ A memorial banner honoring mothers lost to maternal mortality
✨ A powerful reminder that postpartum care is essential—not optional

This event is both a celebration and a call to action.

Join us as we raise awareness, honor mothers, and create space for healing in our community.

Tag a dad. Tag a partner. Tag someone who believes mothers deserve better.

In honor of the International Day of the Midwife, the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) is pleased to offer a special, limited-time opportunity to join or renew your membership.

From May 2 through May 5, all national annual memberships will automatically receive a 20% discount.

Whether you are joining for the first time, renewing your commitment, or returning after a lapse, this is an ideal moment to engage with a professional community dedicated to advancing midwifery practice, education, and policy. This offer is available to new, current, and expired members.

Please note that this promotion applies only to national memberships and does not extend to state affiliate memberships, subscriptions, or other purchases. Installment payment options will be temporarily unavailable during the flash sale period, and memberships purchased prior to May 2 are not eligible for retroactive adjustment.

ACNM membership provides access to essential clinical resources, continuing education, professional networking, and national advocacy efforts that elevate and protect midwifery practice. Your participation strengthens the collective voice of midwives and contributes directly to improving maternal and newborn health outcomes.

As you celebrate International Day of the Midwife, we also encourage you to explore global activities and recognition of the profession, as well as upcoming ACNM events throughout May.

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact us at 240-485-1820 or [email protected].
We look forward to welcoming you or welcoming you back during this special time.

Sincerely,
ACNM Membership Team

May is Maternal Mental Health Month — a time to raise awareness, break stigma, and remind every mother that her mental health matters too. 💜

Motherhood can be beautiful, but it can also feel overwhelming, exhausting, and isolating. Whether you’re navigating pregnancy, postpartum, loss, or everyday motherhood, you deserve support, compassion, and care.

At Sunflower Births, we believe no mother should suffer in silence.
✨ You are not alone.
✨ It’s okay to ask for help.
✨ Healing is possible.

Let’s continue creating safe spaces, sharing resources, and uplifting mothers in every stage of their journey.
