Keep In Mind!

Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Globally, a woman is killed every 10 minutes by an intimate partner or family member – more than 51,000 women and girls each year.

This sobering statistic from the new UN report “Femicides in 2023” underscores the ongoing crisis of violence against women worldwide. It is also a call to action. More than 1 out of 4 women murdered had previously reported abuse by their killers. We can and must do more to prevent violence against women.

At Futures Without Violence, we are working to change this. Through education, prevention programs, and advocacy, we strive to create a world where women and girls are safe, empowered, and free from harm.
